- Crimes in progress (theft with violence, assault, robbery, burglary)
- Serious road accidents, especially with injuries or hit-and-run
- Threats to life, harassment that escalates, or a weapon involved
- Missing persons in immediate danger, child safety concerns
- Suspicious packages or behaviour that could indicate terrorism
What to do while on the line
- Stay calm. The operator may ask for your exact location, landmark, and emirate.
- Give a short, clear description: what happened, how many people are involved, and if anyone is injured.
- Do not hang up until the operator tells you to. Follow their instructions.
- If it is safe, move to a secure place and keep others away from danger.
